Hello Friends! Today I'm showing off my card for the latest Friends of Speedy TV challenge based on flowers. I couldn't help but select the single Daffodil from the newly released set called Daffodil Greetings. (From the main page, click on the FOSTV Challenges link and you will be there.) It seems like ages since I have used this technique and I have forgotten how much I love it. For my focal image, I embossed the daffodil on vellum with white embossing powder. I colored my image on the back with regular markers and layered the ink a bit. After my ink dried, I used vellum tape to adhere my vellum to a piece of white card stock cut to the same size. It's pretty easy, actually.
I hope you get a chance to play along this week. We have a prize up for grabs, would you like a little peek at it?
Yep, this is Dogwood Blossoms. Very pretty, isn't it? It has wonderful all-purpose sentiments in it, too! So, let's so your best flower card and you just may receive this great set as a reward for your efforts!
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.
Oh, I almost forgot to tell you that I used a CPS sketch on today's card.
