Today's card is Christmas-y, once again, with the new set called Create with Pine Boughs.  I grabbed the light bulb and the Happy Christmas sentiment.  I love how my bulb looks stamped in a lighter gray as opposed to a black.  I masked it and then sponged some poppy colored ink around my bulb to imitate a glowing bulb.  I think this would be a really cool effect with a string of lights.  Be sure to head on over to Janine's blog to see what she has in store for you!

Details - Stamps: Create with Pine Boughs (MFP); Paper: Very Vanilla, Old Olive, Merry Moments dp; Ink: Tuxedo Black, London Fog, Poppy Parade; Accessories: Copic Markers, stampin' dimensionals.

As the weather begins to turn, it starts to feel like it might be time to make some Christmas cards.  This Cardinal set is just perfect for some really festive cards.  Even as I write this post, I have more and more ideas about how to use this image!  The beautiful clean lines will make an elegant embossed card.  I can't wait to try it!

I was thinking really rustic here.  I love the country feel and wanted to use kraft as it reminds me of burlap and wood rail fences.  I colored on kraft card stock with my colored pencils.  It's always so surprising when the color shows us really well.  The argyle embossing came from the diamonds in the stamp pattern.  If you read my blog post from yesterday, my kindergarten friends would love to correct me.  "Mrs. Storie!  Those are rhombuses, not diamonds".  Of course, I would happily reply, "What other shapes do you see?".  We are always learning in Kindergarten!

If you have been to the Mark's Finest Papers blog, you have seen this.  I couldn't help myself.  I had to color this sweet little owl in rainbow colors.  I spend a large portion of my day in a Kindergarten class and see owls in different colors all day long.  (I don't have to tell you how trendy they are).  I think most of my kindergarten friends would approve.  Too bad we haven't learned that oo says OO as in moon, otherwise we could all try to read it!  They might be able to read it anyway...we have a bunch of kiddos that are really great at reading the pictures.
