I know, it's a goofy title. The butterflies are obvious in the winter white and marcasite embossing powder. The mouse comes from the sketch challenge I played. You see, this is a fabulous Waltzingmouse sketch.
The butterflies were a special request by my daughter. She wanted to have butterflies on the birthday card for her friend, Mercedes. I chose the color scheme to match the gift bag we had ready to fill after our shopping trip.
With all the glitz of the embossing powders, I felt like I had to make the sentiment panel stand out a bit too. I added dots like a marquee and went over the white and hot pink dots with a Sakura Clear Star gel pen to give them a bit of sparkle too!
I got the wonderful crocheted ribbon from Mandy at Limelight Papercrafts. Incidentally, she is closing her shop and putting many items on sale. You may want to check it out!
Thanks for stopping by!
