Friends and Halloween or Harvest

Hello there!  I'm back with a Friends of Speedy TV challenge for the new week.  Debbie has challenged us to create a Halloween or Harvest (challenge #43) card.  My little girl is very excited for Halloween this year, so I created a few little matchbook cards for her to give to friends or adults at school.  She really likes her bus driver, so I could see her giving one of these to her.

This style of card is super simple.  I cut my patterned paper to 3" x 8 1/2" and then made a couple of quick scores at 1" and 5 ".  After creasing my folds, I added a staple to secure the closure and went about decorating my matchbook cards.  I stamped three images from I'm Going Batty, which just so happens to be the prize offered up this week!  I colored and fussy cut those images.  I added some dimensional adhesive and popped them up off of some matted ovals.  For the inside of the cards, I matted a white piece of card stock, stamped my sentiment and the image once more in a very light gray color.  I'm not sure if you can see it in this photo, you may have to click on the photo to see it larger.

Here's a look at this week's stamping prize:

Thanks for stopping by today!  You may want to cruise back by later, as I have some more eye candy on the way!
