The masculine card style is not always easy for me, but the gears as a subject really helped. While I initially only thought of metallic colored gears, stamping them in color proved to be quite fun. I used some Seahawk colors here and I think the possibilities are endless. With these two new sets, masculine cards will be flying out of your craft room!
On my Gear Up card, I used colored I would more typically associate with gears and then limited my embellishments to staples. I stamped my senitment about three times. Then, I trimmed out each word and used a direct-to-paper technique to ink the edges.
That's all from me today. Don't forget to hop through the ladies posting today and come on back tomorrow for more creativity.

Nice cards. Like the use of Seahawks colours on that first one - fun card
ReplyDeleteVery cute cards. I like the colorfulness of the first one.
ReplyDeleteLove how you cut up the sentiment and the added staples give it a great grunge look!
ReplyDeleteBoth of your cards are great. Love the fun colors and the monochromatic themes.
ReplyDeleteTwo very cool cards, but my fav is the blue and green - wonderful layout and colors.
ReplyDeleteToni, for a different effect you used colors for your gears and card. I like that a lot as it gives a totally different appearance. Your second card is more vintage looking. BOTH ARE GREAT.
ReplyDeleteLove the colorful gears on the first card and the monochromatic look of the second card. Both fabulous cards.
ReplyDeleteBoth of these are great - using sport team colours on the first is such a fab idea. I love the second one, which for me is unusual, but it works perfectly Karen P
ReplyDeleteLove the first card. Great design.
ReplyDeleteFun, fun, fun! The second one with the distressing is really awesome!
ReplyDeleteGreat masculine cards! Love the colors used on your first card and the staples and distressed edges on the second.
