You may have seen this on the Mark's Finest Papers blog. I had fun with this even though black embossing powder and I are not friends. It never fails that I end up with little black specks where I do not want them. What's a girl to do, but roll with it! I penned in a wire for this crow to hang out on. A little sentiment and a couple of colored gems and that is a finished card!
The first thing I noticed about the new set called Scarecrows was all the fun fonts and sentiments here. I thought, "Word Collage!" and a card was born. Okay, I had to think about it a little more than that, but it was a no-brainer for me. Fall colors are my favorite and I was more than happy to have them all spread out on my desk. One thing you should know is that this is a mini card. It is 3.5 x3.5 so the die cut leaf isn't all that huge.
Thanks for stopping by and be sure to come on back tomorrow for more creativity.

Love your leaf.
ReplyDeleteCute cards. I feel your pain with the embossing powder, I have the same dilemma.
ReplyDeleteLove what you did with these sets Toni - great cards
ReplyDeleteI especially liked your "word collage" card with the negative of the leaf die cut. Very creative.
ReplyDeleteToni,
ReplyDeleteI really like both of your cards - especially the first one with the "call me" crow - made me smile. Your leaf/collage card is awesome as well.
Aack, that crow is adorable and I think that card is wonderful!
ReplyDeleteFun, Gorgeous and Elegant at the same time. Fabulous cards.
ReplyDeleteLove the crow on the wire! And the stamped background using the word stamps from the scarecrow set peaking through the flower cutout is very creative. Love both cards.
ReplyDeleteOops, I meant peaking through the leaf cutout. :)
ReplyDeleteFun designs love the leave card.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun way to use the scarecrow set! Love that and I am going to have to try it! Wonderful crow card too. Well done. Hugz!
