Cathy is today's Ways To Use It challenge hostess and she has chosen "Sea Worthy" as our theme. For my sea worthy creation, I chose the sand dollar. I love this image and the sentiment. I did a lot of sponging and masking to create my sand and sea. It also helped that one of the sets that I used had a sand stamp. I used three different colors of ink to get my sand just so.
I think it might be hard to tell from this angle, but I did round out my sand dollar. I turned it upside down on a foam pad and used the rounded end of a pen cap like a stylus. Moving in an elliptical fashion I created the "hump" where the pearl is on the sand dollar.
Thanks for looking!
