Friends and Books (or Songs or Movies)

Happy Monday and Happy April 1st!  We are enjoying some really nice spring weather here and the timing is perfect.  I am on Spring Break with my daughter.  I've been busy with my husband getting our garden started.  I have high hopes this year for a really productive growing season.  We already have quite a few veggies in and some herbs and flowers waiting in the greenhouse to go into the garden.  This week's Friends of Speedy TV challenge is to make a card based on a song, a book or a movie.  My card is inspired by the book New Moon by Stephenie Meyer, which was also made into a movie.  On the front cover of the book are some red and white tulips.  I took off from there.  I used the current CAS(E) this Sketch! for my sketch.
Let's not forget that Mark's Finest Papers offers a free stamp set to one lucky participant.  This week, I think the set is Amaryllis Definitions.  Take a look:

Here is a look at the book cover that I used for inspiration:

Good luck and have a great day!

  1. Parrot tulips on that cover - wonderful fun flowers. I don't know the book but your card is very pretty and I can see the inspiration.
