Welcome to day 3 of the Mark's Finest Papers March release!  I know you will be seeing many of the fabulous pets today, so I opted to do something fun with one of the sentiment.  I did some minor stamp dissection (don't be afraid to do this) and easily stamped the two parts on my sentiment on separate hearts.  Then I goofed around with my embossing folder, Versamark and gold embossing powder.  Here is the end result!

Thanks for stopping by!  Come on back tomorrow for more creativity.  Head on over to Janine's blog to see what she has created for you today.

Details - Stamps: Fabulous Pets (MFP); Paper: Very Vanilla, random unknown scraps; Ink: Versamark; Accessories: Heart Collection Framelits, So Trendy M-bossabilities, gold embossing powder, heat tool, stampin' dimensionals, scor-tape.

Friends and Spring Colors

Good Monday Morning!  We are in the middle of the March Mark's Finest Papers Blog Hop and I'm going to pause for a little Friends of Speedy TV fun.  This week's challenge is to create a card with Spring colors.  I couldn't resist going with a Spring theme too.  I broke out the set called Spring Things with these little critters.  I also borrowed the sentiment from the new mini set being released this month called Hoppy Easter.  When I think of Spring colors, I think of pastels.  On my card you will find pink, yellow, pale/mint green and a wee bit of lavender.
Let's not forget that Mark's Finest Papers offers up a free stamp set for one lucky participant.  This week the set called Recipe Completer is the set up for grabs.
Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to come back later and see what else Mark's Finest Papers is releasing.

Details - Stamps: Spring Things (MFP); Paper: Choice Snow White, Barely Banana, Pretty in Pink; Ink: Tuxedo Black; Accessories: Corner chomper, Copic & Touch Twin Markers, Sakura Clear Star gel pen, stampin' dimensionals.

I hope you enjoy this card.  I wanted to go kind of simple.  I took a die cutting frame and only embossed into my card.  Then I sponged around the embossing to show it a bit more.  I added a gold frame inside the cut out and then added my cross inside.  For my cross, I flipped over the Christ on the Cross image and did a little creative masking to get it to appear empty.  Finally, I stamped my sentiment on the front over a bit of embossing.

Come on back tomorrow for more creativity.  Thanks for stopping by.  Now, you will want to head off to Janine's blog.

Details - Stamps: Easter (MFP); Paper: Very Vanilla, Brushed Gold, Choice Snow White; Ink: Crumb Cake, Soft Suede; Accessories: Nestabilities, paper snips, sponge daubers.

How fun is this cute new mini set from Mark's Finest Papers called Hoppy Easter?  I stamped, subtly colored and trimmed out the bunny.  I created my banner and then combined a couple of the sentiments from the set to fit my little treat basket.  I realize that my basket may not be totally overflowing with candy, but have you tried to eat three whole Peeps lately?  My seven year old could barely choke down one.  The rest of the Peeps will be traveling to girls night to "share the wealth".

Come on back tomorrow for more creativity.  Off you go to visit Janine and have a wonderful day!

Details - Stamps: Hoppy Easter (MFP); Paper: Whisper White, Fancy Pants Designs Hopscotch dp; Ink: Tuxedo Black; Accessories: Scor-Pal, Scor-Tape, SU brads, stampin' dimensionals, Copic Markers, paper snips, square punch.

Smooches and Love

Paper Smooches and LoveFest, that is. This is the card I created for the Paper Smooches LoveFest challenge at Splitcoast. The PS folks asked crafters to create a cute and fun card or a classy and elegant card. I was feeling cute and fun. I used the Wake Up set with this fun egg and face. Since Anything Goes this week, I'm going to enter it into the Paper Smooches SPARKS challenge. What I wish you could see about today's card is the five scored lines on my card base. It's difficult for me to capture them on white cards. I also wish you could see the sparkle of the Stickles on my strawberries. I drew in my seeds and then added glitter. Fun, right?

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a great day!

Details - Stamps: Wake Up (PS); Paper: Choice Snow White (TE), Daffodil Delight; Ink: Tuxedo Black; Accessories: Scor-Pal, corner chomper, Copic & Touch Twin Markers, Stardust Stickles, stampin' dimensionals.

Friends and New Homes (03/03/14)

Welcome to Monday and another Friends of Speedy TV challenge.  This week we are making cards for a new home or a housewarming.  I knew immediately that I wanted to use this sweet little house from Primitive Farm.  I borrowed the colors for my house from the patterned papers and a sketch from the Mojo Monday blog.  I stamped my house in gray to match the patterned papers but that didn't give me much definition, so I grabbed my Copic Multiliner and outlined the windows, doors and roofs.  To create more of a scene I drew in some grass and a walkway.  Inside a message can be written or a congratulations sentiment can be stamped.
Let's not forget that Mark's Finest Papers offers up a free stamp set to one lucky participant.  This week, the set that is available is New Year.
Thanks for stopping by!  Have a great day!

Details - Stamps: Primitive Farm (MFP); Paper: Choice Snow White (TE), Basic Gray, MME In Bloom dp; Ink: Tuxedo Black, Basic Gray; Accessories: Nestabilities, Copic Markers, Recollections Rhinestones, Copic Multiliner, stampin' dimensionals.

More Than One Score - Christmas & Dies

It's month two of the new Scor-Pal challenge, More Than One Score!  This month, the challenge is to make a Christmas card with dies.  My card is a side step card and the hardest part of this card was the coloring!  With one cut and six scores and some mountain and valley folding, your card base is done and ready for embellishment!  I die cut five trees and my reindeer pair!  I stamped and then colored them.  A couple of layers of snowy designer paper and Stickles finish my landscape.  I stamped a sentiment and added a couple of rhinestones to finalize my card.

Be sure to pop on by the Scor-Pal blog to see what the other designers created and to link up your own creation!
