I "krafted" this little 4x4 card for Verve's September project parade titled "Gettin' Krafty". It's a pretty straight forward card. I tried to use Beate's Weekend sketch, but I just couldn't work it in this time. I also tried to use River Rock as a natural color, but I just couldn't make it work with the Kraft. So I took inspiration from Laurie Schmidlin's post and used my Spring Flowers dp.
I have had this stamp forever and ever and never used it. I wanted to use it. So, I finally left it on my desk to remember it and this challenge came along. Voila!
Here are the details for this card:
Stamps: Picasso Quote from Inkadinkado
Paper: Kraft, Chocolate Chip, Spring Flowers dp
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Craft White
Accessories: Stampin' Dimensionals, Twine from a Target tealight gift set, MM distressing tool, glue dot

More of a call than a challenge
Really, this was driven more by my feelings about the staff that took care of my FIL until he passed. The people who staff these kind of facilities are very special! One special staff member pretty much adopted my FIL, became very close to him and my MIL and spoke eloquently at his funeral.
Of course all of this thought was provoked by a blog post I read on Carolyn King's blog about September 21st being World Alzheimer's Day. She has had some amazing contributions to her blog candy for a superb cause! It is important to check it out!
I started the card with a sketch in mind. I used Beate's Weekend Sketch #58.
Here are the details for this card:
Stamps: Petal Prints, Holiday Blitz
Paper: River Rock, Basic Black, River Rock dp, Ginger Blossom dp, Very Vanills
Ink: River Rock, Basic Black
Accessories: Black Brads, Mat Pack, Paper Piercing tool, Scallop punch, 1 3/8" circle punch, 1 1/4" circle punch
All products are Stampin' Up! unless otherwise posted.

An Impromptu Girls Night
While the cat is away, the mice will play! So that is what we did. My BFF e-mailed all the girls and said her DH was out of town and invited us all for pizza and a movie. I called her and suggested that we all do a challenge. Some of the girls couldn't make it, some could only stay for a short time and still others had to leave early due to small children's bed time! Anyway, my BFF and I ignored our children's bedtime and worked on the sketch from Mojo Monday. One of her pumpkins fell asleep on the floor and mine was up LATE!!! Anyway, we both finished our cards!
There is nothing really tricky about this card. It's pretty straightforward as I just colored in the image with markers and a blender pen. I feel like I could use some work on my coloring. I know many people really enjoy coloring. I like working with watercolor pencils and crayons, but when I color with markers it doesn't look as nice. I'll just have to keep at it!
Here are the details for this card:
Stamps: Blooming with Love, Blooming with Happiness, Polka Dot Background
Paper: Whisper White, Close to Cocoa, Rose Red, Pretty in Pink, Close to Cocoa DP
Ink: Timber Brown StazOn, Rose Red, Pretty in Pink, Mellow Moss, Close to Cocoa, Creamy Caramel
Accessories: Stampin' Dimensionals, Chocolate Chip grosgrain ribon, Mat pack, paper piercing tool, Spellbinders Nestabilities and Cuttlebug, blender pen
