This was a fun little card to make. I saw these papers at my local craft store the other day and could not walk by them. Although I have reams and reams of paper in my craft room, I didn't have these! Does anyone else have this affliction?
I took my time and scalloped the pink textured-looking paper with a corner rounder so that the metal heart embellishments would fit nicely within the scallops. At first, I thought I would use eight of them, but then decided to only place the hearts at the bottom of the stitched lines. And yes, those are hand-stitched lines.
This card is my submission for the Caarvarks New Year Kickoff Challenge. They offered up this fabulous sketch by Becky Fleck of Page Maps. The challenge is sponsored by Just Rite and they are offering up a sweet prize. Cross your fingers for me, would you?
Thanks for stopping by!
