Ways To Use The Negative

Man, it's been a long time since I posted a card from my Ways To Use It team.  But, I really like this one, so I decided to share it with you.  The challenge revolved around using negative space.  I die cut several flowers into my black base.  I did some faux stitching around the edge and mounted over a piece of purple glittery card stock.

I found the unicorn stamp at Michael's in the dollar rack.  I knew that my daughter and her friends would like it.  I used it here because the sentiment is created out of the negative space in the silhouette.  I added some more faux stitching and popped it up over a piece of organdy ribbon.

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a great weekend!

Scor-Pal's June More Than One Score Challenge - Warmer Days

Hello Crafty Friends! It's time again for another Scor-Pal More Than One Score challenge. The theme for the month of June is Warmer Days and the hostess is Isia! So, you will want to be sure to check on the Scor-Pal blog at mid month for a tutorial on her project. My project today is a Picnic Basket! Warmer Days mean time outside and what is better than a picnic?
This was a fun project to make and you could change out the papers to make it work with any theme that you like.  The project is basically a box and lid with a fun method of attaching the lid and handle.  That was the only tricky part, but well worth the style points as the center is secure and both sides lift like a real picnic basket.
Won't you play along with this month's theme? Warmer Days is such a fun theme and you can do most anything with it! If you need some ideas or want to find some inspiration, you can check out  the Projects on the Scor-Pal website or our Pinterest board.

Thanks for stopping by!
