It's the final day of the this month's hop of thanks!  I wanted to finish out with my fall themed thankful cards. I love this sweet pumpkin and couldn't resist adding an acorn too.  Incidentally, I had intended to work on the second tutorial (clip place card holders) because they are darling.  However, I had a super frustrating experience with those clips on a project for the school Harvest Gala.  No clip place card holders for me because I couldn't stand to look at another alligator clip.  You should try the tutorial though!

For the third day of our hop of thanks, I broke out the acrylic paint.  I used die cut leaves as a mask of sorts and applied acrylic paint with a paintbrush.  After removing the masks, I stamped my sentiments in the negative space that was left.  I embossed my card base and added a ribbon accent under my focal layer.  I popped up the top layer and that completed my card.

Now we are on to day two of thanks.  I have always liked this wheat image from Buffalo Spring since I received it in 2012.  I love how it looks here, backing up my statement of thanks.  I opted for a clean and simple design to work with this classic image.

Oh my goodness!  I can't remember how long it has been since I have used so many stamp sets on a single card.  I used twelve different set here.  That's right, TWELVE!  What a fun technique.  I highly recommend it.  This is one that you will want to practice before making your final product.  Just in case you were wondering, here are the sets that I used on this card: Halloween Selections, Big Cupcake, Roses, Scarecrow, Hydrangea, Dogwood Blossoms, Mother's Magnolias, Autumn Splendor, I Am Thankful, Honor and Glory, Fall Apples and Buffalo Spring.

October "More Than One Score" Challenge

Hello Crafty Friends!  Yesterday was October 1st and that means we are into another "More Than One Score" challenge.  This month's theme is Seasonal Delights or Spooky Frights.  You can choose to respond to either end of that theme...or if you can't decide, you can do something like I did.  Check out with the other ladies on the Scor-Pal Design Team did.

Here is my Spooky nugget box.  Are you "frightened"?  I should think so with those creepy eyes and a couple of spiders hanging from the top edge of my nugget box.  Those eyes remind me of watching Scooby-Doo as a young girl.  That cartoon would scare the daylights out of me.
Get ready for the "seasonal delight" portion of today's project.  Oops, you will have to suffer one more fright. "Eek!" screams my extra creamy milk chocolate with toffee and almonds style nugget.
Whew!  After all that terror, I think it's best to tear into those chocolates and relax.

Again, I made this project with my daughter's teacher in mind.  While I'm pretty sure he isn't a person who really loves sweets, he does have two kids who might appreciate the treat.  I'll let her give this to him for Halloween...or maybe a bit before.

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful weekend!

Details - Stamps: Collage Alphabet (SU), Tags So Much (SU); Paper: Recollections Halloween dp, MME Cowboy dp; Ink: Tuxedo Black; Accessories: Scor-Pal, Scor-Tape, paper snips, white gel pen, Concept marker, mini glue dots.

MFP Stamps Challenge 40

Good morning!  It's time for a new MFP Stamps challenge.  This week is another Clean And Simple challenge (my favorite) and it's CAS with a bird.

I pulled this little cutie from Birds and Trees.  Of course the sentiment came from the same set.  I stamped my bird on my card base.  Then I created a mask for the bird and sponged in my yellow background.  Next I colored my bird and stamped in my sentiment.  As I reached for my cup of coffee (yes, I live dangerously with coffee near my stamping projects), I knocked the pink gems off my spinning rack.  I thought that the universe must be telling my something and so I applied five of those little buggers right on my card.

You will want to play along with this week's challenge, right?  There are many ways to win.  Be sure to check out the blog for rules and guidelines.  Link up your project HERE, so we can see your amazing work.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend.

Details - Stamps: Birds and Trees (MFP); Paper: Snow Storm Smooth (MFP); Ink: Tuxedo Black, Wild Honey; Accessories: Corner Chomper, Copic Markers, Kaisercraft Hot Pink Rhinestones, stampin' sponges.
