Flashin' Back with Die Cuts

You all have heard of the Flashback Friday Challenges, haven't you?  If you haven't, Flashback Friday challenges are about going back in time to see the beginnings of your crafty progress.  I find it very interesting.  I do see changes in my work, but this card could be very current for me.  The change I notice here is more about my photography and editing.

Today, I am posting my card for the current challenge to post your first card you made with die cuts.  This card comes back from November of 2008 where I used the Sizzlits Birds and Blooms dies to create my glittering red bird.  I played along with a Unity Addicts Challenge and a CPS sketch.  I still love how the flourishes of the Dream Tree look as a background.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a fantastic Tuesday!

Details - Stamps:  Dream Tree (Unity), Sentiments O'Simple (Unity); Paper: Whisper White, Real Red; Ink: Encore Silver, Real Red; Accessories:  Lavender glitter (Joann's), M's silver rhinestones, stampin' dimensionals, sticky strip, Birds & Blooms die.

Cute card, Toni, I have that die as well, but never made anything so cute with it. I think I was intimidated by the die at first! Thanks for joining in the fun at Flashback Friday 22.0 and good luck!

I know what you mean about photos - I was using a scanner for most of my early stuff...eeks. Love the glitter on the birdie, and that DOES make a fab background! Thanks for linking up with Flashback Friday :)
