Mother's Day and Friends

Happy Monday and welcome to another Friends of Speedy TV challenge.  Since Mother's day is right around the corner, we are all making mother's day cards.  I pulled out a couple of sets to make my card.  First, I used Mother's Magnolias for the fabulous sentiment.  Then I used Daffodil Greetings for my popped up butterfly and all the other butterflies in the background.  I did a lot of distressing on my top panel and then a lot of sponging everywhere else to get an aged look.  I even sponged my ribbon and wrapped it a couple of times around my card to get this look. I finished off the card with some smoky colored rhinestones and a couple of corner rounding punches.  I used the current sketch from retro sketches to get the idea for my card design.

You will definitely want to play along with this week's Friends of Speedy TV challenge, as the wonderful set Mother's Magnolias is up for grabs.  If you haven't seen it, take a peek at this:

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

This is a delight for the eyes, Toni. I love the distressing and the pretty butterflies stamped and embossed in the background. Plus, I love the Amethyst, too.
