Friends of Flourishes & Masculine Cards

Hello and Happy Saturday!  This week Shirley, our hostess, has chosen the theme for the Friends of Flourishes Design Team challenge.  She asked us all to create a masculine card.  As always, this is a difficult task for me.  I just collect so many floral images that I had to really rack my brain to come up with an idea. Winter Birds to the rescue!  The Black Capped Chickadee worked perfectly here with some minimal embellishment.
I find that texture always enhances a masculine card.  I grabbed some corrugated card stock and die a few leaves to back up my chickadee.  A simple knot in a silk ribbon finishes the card.  Hopefully my silk ribbon didn't ruin the masculine vibe that I was working toward.
Now, it's time to visit the Friends of Flourishes and see what they have created with beautiful water colors: Davi, GloriaKrenShirleyToniVickie.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend.

Details - Stamps: Winter Birds (Flourishes); Paper: Ivory (Flourishes), Basic Gray, Corrugated card stock, plaid patterned paper; Ink: Tuxedo Black; Accessories: Wide Ivory Silk Ribbon (Flourishes), leaf die, paper snips, Copic Markers, Copic Multiliner, white gel pen, double sided tape, liquid glue, glue dot.

That little bird is absolutely adorable. I have a feeder in my front yard so I can watch the birds all year round.
